Dash Battery Light On All The Time

Hello i am new to this site but not to GS i have drag raced them for over twenty years. I have recently purchased a 1985 GS1150E and it has 2 electrical issues that dose not stop me from ridding it they just are annoying. One is the Batt light in the dash is on all the time and i know why it is because the battery probe is not installed because it was removed and it is not available from Suzuki any more the battery i have dose not accept one either, neither of these are a problem if some one can tell me if there is a way to trick the system so the light will go out i did find the wire that the probe goes in but i am not sure what it is looking for (voltage or resistance) to turn the dash indicator light off.I know removing the bulb would work but i was hoping not to take the dash apart only as a last option, Has anybody figured out how to trick it when they switched to a sealed battery?. The other item is the tail/stop indicator randomly comes on and off but all the lights are lighting there are no bulbs out or flickering that i see.I was told this could be from a bad ground dose this make sense and where would i start to check for this circuit. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.( I do have FSM for the bike)

The battery probe is meant to stick down into one of the cells, which will show a voltage above zero, if it was still wet with acid. When the acid level dropped (in that cell), the probe would not see the voltage and then turn on the light. To get around that, you can connect it to a switched power line.

Yep, welcome to the GSR, Then yes, what steve said about the batt. light, I connected mine to the tail light wire cause it was right there close... The other problem sounds like maybe what several 1150's have got. On mine sometimes maybe one indicator while other times may be a few of them, usually not full on nor off but trying to sort'f flicker, sometimes all would be good while other times they may do it almost constantly. I read several write-ups about it, but never found a for sure fix. Hoping you find something simple with yours.
