Electrical problems grrrrrrr
Everything functions as it should when the bike is cold. After warming up, however, the battery voltage drops to 9.6V at idle, 10.5V at 3000 RPM and 12.5V at 5000 RPM. It almost seems to be a load related problem. With the bike at idle (hot) and 9.6V, I shut it down and the voltage comes back up to 11.9V. Temperature sensitive problems are a pain to locate. Any information is appreciated.

check stator papers....
might be a bit low on production, however at idle the charging system does not produce enough volts, only at 3000 rpms and higher...if memory serves...

9.6V is very low even for a good battery with the entire charging system disconnected.
So charge up the battery and disconnect the R/R and make sure your voltage stays above 11.0V when hot. If so then there is something wrong with the charging system.
You can do an open loop test of the stator with the R/R removed. Also check for shorts and opens in the stator after warm.
If all checks out then the R/R is the next to swap out.
If you look at the stator pages you will probably fail the first section indicating you need to go to the second for stator checks.
