Rectifier Question
So as I wrote in my intro post, the previous owner told me I need to replace the rectifier. I am looking at the Electrosport one since they supposedly fixed Suzuki's problem with the 81 GS550T but it will cost me over $100 to get. With everything else I'll need to fix on the bike, how important is it to buy a new rectifier before I get it running again? Is it possible to just get a used one for the time being and then replace over the winter? What kind of issues will I have by doing that instead of a brand new one?Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace

Hi,
Read your "mega-welcome" again. You can get a good used, tested, and modified r/r from member duaneage. Go through the Stator Papers before you start spending money. Clean every electrical connection and ground in the entire wiring harness, from the headlight bucket to the tail light, including the fuse box. Your bike will love you for it.
Thank you for your indulgence,
