Connecting Starter Wiring
As I said in my other post, I finally got the right handle switch for my bike and am trying to connect everything up. The PO cut the green/yellow from each side of the factory connector and put a bullet connector into them. With me trying to put the new one in, I am faced with doing the same thing. My question here, which is the smarter way of doing it - using a butt connector for the two sides of the green/yellow wire, or just buying a whole new wiring harness. I could go with one from a used bike but am I getting into trouble by doing that? Would anyone here have a wiring harness for a 1981 GS550T?Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace

never mind. I picked up a new butt connector and some dielectric grease. I'll remake the connection the same way the PO did.Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace
