    1150 - Same faulty charging?

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that the 1150 didn't have the charging issues of the rest of the GS line.

    Wishful thinking?

I just got a Honda R/R from Duanage (amazingly quickly too, given the time of year! Thanks bud!), but want to make sure it's a necessary mod before I start cutting wires.

Should I do the stator as well?

There is nothing wrong with the OE stators, in fact, I'd much rather have one than an aftermarket stator like Electrosport or RM Stator. The Achilles heal of the stock Suzuki charging system is the small capacity R/R's which run hot, and the wiring system. Wire that new R/R with the stator wires feeding directly in (bypass the factory wiring) and make sure you have good grounds from the R/R to both the frame and to the battery. That's all you need.

My spare stator is a low mileage OEM. I would prefer it to aftermarket. The stators are really not the problem, it's the RRs.

Use the new connectors I sent on the stator leads. The original brass terminals are not good.
