    dielectric grease

Iam going to go threw my buddies 82 1100 electrical system I want to use dielectric grease but I am not sure what to do with Jones plug type connectors do you put it inside the female connector ,I assume the grease is conductive so I don't want to get things sloppie (sp) and cross connect so what might be the best way to do this?

    Any help would be great!!

    Thanks
    Pat

Dielectric grease is non-conductive so you can smear it all over the connections with out worry. When the contacts make, um well contact, they push away the grease. The grease prevents the contacts from oxidizing.

      Hi,

Dielectric grease is non-conductive. It just seals out moisture.

      Thank you for your indulgence,

Yeah, it's amazing how many people still think dielectric grease is a scam or not needed!

Obviously none of those people have ever touched wiring systems on older/vintage bikes or cars!(aka, dealt with rusty corroded connectors!)
