Too many wires to battery
I'm starting to build up too many wires to my battery posts. I've done the usual electrical mods and clean ups (coil mod, R/R rewire, etc.., I've also got my trickle charger wires there and a direct wired aux. charger). My posts have so many connectors to them, especially my negative, that I had to change out the battery screw for a longer one. Easy fix but I'm wanting to clean things up a bit. Would changing some of the negative to ground at the frame be bad or should I come up with a few connectors that several wires go into? any suggestions are always appreciated.Rob

For the -ve side - Run one Really thick wire to frame somewhere close & fix all other wires to that point. You should then only have the 2 to the battery - one to engine & the new one to frame.
For the +ve side - Put yourself in a secondary / new fuse block or a relay switched terminal block (Make sure it's well fused & insulated from the frame) & run your +ve connections back to there. Again only 1 or 2 connections to battery.1980 GS1000G - Sold

The only connections I have are:
1.) Big ground strap from battery (-) to engine block
2.) Ground wire (Battery (-) to single point ground at the R/R (-)
I would not "hop scotch" from the Battery to Frame and then to R/R(-); go direct battery to R/R(-) which I establish at the R/R mounting bolt.

You can usually add a couple of ring terminals to the battery terminal on the starter solenoid.
I agree -- keep the direct battery connections to a minimum. It makes life much easier.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.
