    Battery Overcharged, bike wont start

    Hello,
My bike wouldnt start the other day, the lights dimmed when i hit start button so I checked the battery. It was 13.6 volts. I had a spare battery ,so i put it in and it started right up. That lasted one day with the new battery and now it wont start again, its doing the same thing as before. Any ideas whats on here? Thanks so much!

could be your r/r or stator. Check out Basscliff site on here and do the stator papers check. Not difficult, just take your time and follow the steps. terrylee

      Hi,

It is possible for the battery to show proper voltage but have no current. Yes, go through the Stator Papers like Mr. terrylee recommended. Check and clean all of your electrical connections. A regulator failure might have overcharged your battery and fried it. Take it out and have it tested. When the stator fails is usually undercharges the battery. Keep us informed.

      Thank you for your indulgence,

Your electrical system is over charging the battery and killing it. So check the charging system.
