My battery is hot and not being charged, Stator Papers?

Start checking the system. Also how old is it? Usually batteries dont cook until they're receiving a lot of volts. Its possible you might have scrapped a battery from a bad R/R pumping out too many volts. -
Simple test for common problem…
It's being overcharged because the R/R has gone bad. Check the charging voltage at the battery at low and high RPM. It's got to be 14.5 to 15 volts.

It is only reading 12.5 volts with a new Batt at idle and the same at 5000 rpms I checked this at the battery leads off the battery posts.Last edited by Guest; 06-14-2010, 01:45 PM.Comment

Do all your tests. A spike in voltage can get very costly if left unchecked and thats your problem. Have you checked your battery itself? water level, bad from old age?Comment
