Last night, I was looking through my "parts box" and found out that my 2 spare TR Igniters were dead. I have a working Igniter on the bike now, but if it dies, I do not want to scavenge eBay for a spare, hope for the best, and wait for it to die again.
Given that my 1982 GS450L is pushing 30 years old and has the original generation 1 electronic ignition, is it in my best interest to upgrade to a Dyna kit? I did a search on the forum, and found a lot of information, but nothing that definitively says that it works on the GS450. I read about spacers, modifications, and other tricks to make it work.
I also read some information from Mr. Earl (I think that was his name) that said that it would not work per Dyna, so I am a little confused. Can someone help me?
