Thank you to all who have offered advice. Apparently the way to fix this exact problem is to take everything apart and put it back together a few times and try it... Boom! Problem solved... For the next few minutes at least.

And I raise my glass to you, henryinva, for taking something I've obviously created for my own entertainment and expression, and you've managed to hate, naysay, and be a general doüçhē. I bet you don't even wave at people who ride scooters. That's not very bobber...
