bike turns over, no spark. can i bypass/disconnect kill switch?

okay, i have had an off and on problem with my new 82 gs1100e losing spark. still have all electrics, but bike won't light, no fire. i fiddle with the harness centering around the kill switch/starter plug (whiteish/tan one in pic) and it will sometimes fix the problem. is there anyway to bypass the kill switch so i can eliminate it as a possible cause?

You can replace it in the loom with a solid piece of wore and no switch I guess.... Can always swap back.

You can also hotwire the coils direct from battery but don't leave itvthat way for long if not running as you'll burn them out....
