    '80 gs450lt headlight

I have no low beam. On Z1 it list a 7" 12V 50/60w sealed beam for $5.97. On bike bandit it list the headlight assembly as 12V 45/40x for $89.54. I don't have my manual with me. Which one do I need?

    Hi,

The aftermarket part from Z1 will work just fine.

man those old style lights are sooo dim. ever tried to ride 60mph behind one? I love the old manuals!! they list a brighter headlight as a performance modification. a tiny H3 running light is brighter.

            Hi,

Yes, an H4 headlight upgrade would be a good thing. I think they are still cheaper than the OEM assembly. The H4 bulbs are about $20 to replace, but you don't have to replace the whole assembly.

New head light from Z1 came. I should have measured it first. The headlight I found is 7". The one on the bike is 5.75". Now I need to get a 7" housing or return and find a 5.75" light. I need to check things before ordering.
