    Odd acting Tach

I just purchased a 1980 gs850gl a few days ago. i'm fairly familier with the gs line as my father in-law has a 82 gs1100gl and we have worked on it together. My new bike's tach does not respond quickly, it seems to have a very slow delay to it. Anyone have any ideas as what may cause this? Thanks

Did you try lubing the cable?

      Greetings and Salutations!!

      Hi Mr. JonC03,

You can also remove the gauges, turn them upside down, and put a few drops of household oil (3in1) or a few squirts of WD40 in the cable inputs. If that doesn't work then we'll have to dig deeper. But first, a few words from the unofficial greeter.
