    Gear indicator Messed up

    Whats up guys i recently ran across a problem today with my gear indicator which says "4" in first gear and "8" in the other gears its really ****ing me off lol it used to work perfectly and now it is all messed up... any ideas on how to reset it or where to look?

        and thank you for that diagram sometimes i really dont know where you guys pull them out of? that really does help and thank you very much for showing me the diagram... i was trying to troubleshoot for a while and saw all those connections but now i nkow what they mean... i think my ground isnt grounded properly

              One of the wires near the speedo head has a bullet connector which, if it pulls loose, will give the reading you describe.

                wow what and where exactly is a bullet connector? is that the big chip looking thing where all the wires come together and gets inserted behind the gear indicator itself? lol im gonna tinker with it some more... ive just gotten so used to being in gear 8 24/7 lol
