    Spark plug wires

Can I use supression core wires on my 79 GS750 with stock coils and points type ignition? Thanks for any advice.

Yes but you need to use the auto type ends

Mo'cycle spark plug caps have the resisitor (5 kilo ohm) in them because the wires do not. If you use wires with the resistance (supressors) then you dont want the caps that do.

As mentioned, the caps are already "supressor" type caps.

If you install "supressor" type wires, you don't want "supressor" caps, too.

One or the other, but not both.

Ok, I got that But why not?
I purchased cheepy wires at the auto parts store used with the NGK ends.
No idea if the wires are resistor type wires. What harm will if cause if they are?

From my understanding, you need at least one of the wires, plugs or caps to have resistors in them. A lot of bikes have the resistor caps and resistor plugs and thats fine you just wont have as much spark energy. I run non resistor plugs and non-supression wires with ngk resistor caps.
