    charging problems on 78 gs750

I have a 1978 gs750 and the bike is not charging the battery at all. I was wondering if I should replace the stator or the regulator or both.

What you should do is install a Compufire SERIES R/R but you might want to read this first.

      Greetings and Salutations!!

      Hi Mr. apross44,

Start with the Stator Papers and then read all of the fine supplemental information that Mr. posplayr has created. There's no use buying parts you don't need. Test the components, clean the wiring, and repair the connectors in your charging system too. Run the ground wire from the r/r directly to the negative terminal of the battery. There are other tips in your "mega-welcome". Let's get started.

I just stopped by to welcome you to the forum in my own, special way.
