dyna coils / engine miss fix

AFter installing my first set of dyna coils onto my gs1100 I had a problem. There was an intermittent miss in the engine. After considerable investigation I decided to turn the lights off in my garage and fire up the beast.

    And there it was.

The coils were arching to the frame mounts from the rubber boots area. the coils have two mounting hole sizes and the inner holes are what match the gs1100 frame. Problem is the arching.

I made a new bracket to utilize the outer holes which are much farther away from the plug wire. Problem solved.

So if you are using Dynas and you have a miss..... try that.

Seen this one before on a split plug lead. I spotted it at night in a dark garage as well...!

Wow, maybe this can fix the problem we're having on my girlfriend's bike... I can hear the intermittent miss, and I can see if if I put on the timing light and run it pointed at anything dark just to watch the inconsistent flashing in the 77 GS550... Worth looking into, thanks!
