    What year are these gauges?

Hi, I was able to get my 1983 gs750es running! I was able to do this after reading alot of this forum. So much great info here. It seems like this bike really goes now!

Anyway I noticed that the instruments are not stock for this year? At least I don't think so. Does anyone know what year it is from? None of the electrical was working on it but I managed to fix all of that with a soldering iron. Now when I am riding it seems like the speedometer is showing much slower than I am going. Or maybe 70 just seems alot faster than it used too lol. So I'm guessing that this came off a bike with a different size tire? Otherwise the speedocable doesn't look like it is in great shape and isn't routed right so that could be the problem too.

I tried bike bandit but could not find a match not even in the Hondas, I get the feeling that is not a Suzuki dash.

Except I don't know what other bikes came with a gear position indicator.

I noticed the NEURTAL, too. It looks like it has been applied with a labelmaker tape.

Some Hondas did Steve. My Nighthawk had one except it was old style digital.

Looks like the dash on my 86 GS550E. Like Steve says, it does look like label maker tape to me too.

                      Shop carefully.

That USED "hood" can be gotten on eBay for 39.99.

That same "hood" NEW can be gotten at Bike Bandit for 51.49.

That same "hood" NEW can be gotten at G&S Suzuki for 40.92.

Personally, for 93 cents, I'll go for NEW.

By the way, it's part number 34150-43410

Good call Steve, I didn't check to see if it was purchasable from the OEM dealers. I figured that they were no longer available like parts for my gauges.

                          Fair enough.

I did not say they didn't exist, only that I didn't know what they were.

Nice, that looks like it's the one! I could use a new cover for it but I kinda like the stickers.

The other funny thing about it is that the neutral and oil labelmaker stickers are in the wrong places.
