Just doing a little work on my 85 700E and replacing connectors and I was just wondering if Suzuki upgraded their parts before my bike or if I should consider the Honda unit.

If your current unit is working, why bother?
Unless you want to have one as a handy spare.

yeah mine is working fine, I just wasnt sure if it was just older GS's that had the common electrical problems or if mine was in the group as well.---Eric

Most regulators don't die.
They are killed.
Yep, they are killed because of poor connections that do not allow them to do their job properly.
If I remember correctly, there are a few 'old-timers' on the forum that still have an original R/R on their bike.
