    My bike is dead...

About an hour ago I tried to ride to the store about 1/4 mile away, I made it down my street and my bike died, wheel locked up etc.

Everything turns on but it doesn't even try to turn over...

    wtf...

You have no idea, the break down on the freeway that could have cost me my life which was fixed, then a leaking fork seal now this ****!

I have school in 5 days and have no time to fix this or pay anyone! I'm seriously about to take a huge cresent wrench I have and start beating it to death after I let it roll down my drive way into the street.

**** THIS! I can't catch a break with this thing. I'm on the verge of saying F GS's altogether.

honestly, it sounds like you have a project bike, not a good daily rider and you need to simply grab a cage for daily transit while you tear this bike down and fix everything to mke it 100% reliable.

I'm not gonna say ALL of your problems are your own fault, but you could prevent most of them with some preventative maintenance and basic stuff.

or maybe its time to just put it up for sale for $500 as a project.

Its been a daily rider for a few months now, simple problems such as a small oil leak or a stipped thread havent set me back. The oil bolt coming out is something that is just random and only set me back for a little bit. But everything happening on top of each other a few days after I get it back on the road is insane. The threads and fork seal I was going to deal with at Rays house and be set, this ****. I don't know anymore.

That's total crap Ranger. Wish I was closer to give you a hand. Maybe you just blew a fuse or a flasher, something simple. It probably is something simple if it just went like that.

If I can't figure out the problem by this weekend, I promise to everyone here I will make a video of what a GS looks like strapped with det cord and how big of a bang it makes when its blowing up.

I know quite a few H-D riders that would PAY to see it.
Perhaps you could make enough to buy a better candidate to fix up?

Yeah I can, I have about 80ft and 120 primers for it right now. And some other explosives since we all were demo experts. I'll make it a big ass bomb out of it. I have other issues going on with my gf 1200 miles away and a few other things so it's a good stress relief.

7981GS, how many and how much would they be willing to pay? I'll even let them tear it apart with their hands then teach them how to wire it and let someone prime it and yell fire in the hole for me if the price is right.

That is not good. I feel your pain. Maybe you could take it to a shop?
                        Good luck.

No shop, too much money. I put on about 90 miles since my oil bolt mishap with no problems other than the fork seal.. until tonight.

No Ranger!!!! Put your detonating caps and **** away, haha, my friend i know EXACTLY what your going through, the problems just dont end i know, one job leads to another job, explosives werent that available to me but i had ideas of just wreaking havoc on the bike because of the stress it gave me DO NOT HURT THE BIKE!! check compression on the bike i highly doubt anything with the motor went dead.. take a deep breathe, gather your composure and strip the bike down and inspect. You have to love the bike like a child, understand what has been done to it etc. Keep it as YOUR project, once you master your bike or understand it almost fully(doesnt take long) you will have mastered several aspects of motorcycles so you could pick up another project bike for dirt cheap and make it golden because of your experience.. trust me i have given up several times but each time i got the patience to sit down and tackle the problem and i solved and moved onto the next problem.. Once you figure your bike out you will realize there isn't much to it and it really isnt all that complicated.. if you can rig explosives and understand demo and stuff you can do this trust me, take breathers and time away from the bike. Don't give it to anyone, i have my local "bike master" who rapes people for their money, dont do it, honestly if you see the 1 minute of work they do to charge you 900 dollars you will never want to give your loved one to a shop like that again... What have you done to your bike so far?

Rear wheel lockup most likely is chain or brake or internal motor damage witch will cost a lot of money.
I can relate, my motor is in parts because a tick turned out as major piston damage and a cracked cylinder sleeve and 8 wore out valves. I was thinking the bike only had 26,000 miles but from the internal wear it must be 126,000.
