GS750G - Starting ?
Hi all, when I crank over my GS750G, sometimes it cranks over nice and fast yet other times its really sluggish, I haver fitted a new battery although the old wasn't particularly old. Do you think it could be a fault with the starter itself or switch ?.Tags: None

Probably the starter, but don't despair, it is probably full of muck on the armature and the brushes are maybe getting onto thier last legs.
It is an easy and inexpensive exersise, pull the starter out, strip it down, clean it up, bit of new grease on the bushes, new set of brushes and it will spin like new, shouldn't take you more than a saturday afternoon working at a relaxed pace.

To add to Flyboy's response you might want to check all your wiring connections. might have a semi-broken wire or corroded connection somewhere

Hi,
It could be that your starter needs a rebuild, or the connections cleaned up. Here are a few more tips.

How about some pictures of that 750G?
Rumor has it that very few of them made it out of Japan.

Proof Positive!
So... the 750G really does exist. Don't think I've ever seen a live specimen before. Thanks for posting the pic.
