    ignition problems

ive just starting my gs550,and its a pain in the arse to start, ive bee told it might be the ignition timing(i do need to balance the carbs aswell but need to get it running first,on the button),how do i sort out my "ignition timing"?

If you haven't adjusted the valves that can make for hard starting. Of course you'll need to do a complete carb. cleaning and new o-rings if you haven't done so. terrylee

I know when I had hard starting issues it was attributed to:

      Valve Clearance
      Crab Boots and O-Rings
Fuel Mixture screws set too lean
Poor Plug Caps & Poor Pulgs.

I replaced these, and it fires right up now. Just a thought.

Yep, if those boots aren't just the right size, those crabs get downright irritated.
