================================================== ========
1. I went to Pepboys of all places and for $4.95 found two of these which I fused together with an iron...
Box -- Pt.# 85668
Fusing Part together...
Top (fused)
Bottom (fused)
2. I then drilled a hole into one end to allow the wiring to get into the box. (not shown... sorry)
3. Then took off the old panel and laid the two of them out to see how to make the switch...
Top
Bottom
4. I literally snipped each wire, soldered it into the correct coresponding fuse end holder, and then inserted them all into the new panel.
5. Once I got that done I put it on the bike and tested it out.
I put in one row of the back fuse holders for the three blank holes to hold extra fuses on the bike. I did not put them in the pictures, only the ones that were primary to the function of the bike to avoid confusion of too many fuses.
I have noticed several things since this mod. I checked voltage at different areas and found the loss to be less that with the old glass fuses. I have also found that the turn signals as well as the headlight are brighter and that they do not flicker when I apply the brake or when the signals are blinking. The fuses themselves are not hot either. That was a concern of mine before I did the upgrade.
Overall I am happy with this one and hope that it may help out the next guy that was thinking of this.
