This looks neat but I want your opinions on it.

There are some on ebay for $6 delivered; I bought one recently similar but not as aero.
I doubt it is water proof, and unknown accuracy. I stuck it into the cigarette lighter port of my van and it varies about 13.8-14.2. Could just be alternator.

posplayr, yes it is a wholesale outfit, I believe you have to buy 10 units, $4-6 apiece.
Most likely not waterproof, was just looking for the feedback on it, thanks.
Thanks for the heads-up on Ebay.

I bought one of those types for my upcoming gauge update project. Check Ebay out. I paid 1 cent plus like 2 bucks shipping. It reads fairly fast, is brite enough for day light hours and was cheap. Im going to strip mine of the housing and mount it in the center console where the idiot light are now.

I bought this digital item from www.summitracing.com. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G2983/. Its seems to be waterproof as I live in Washington where we get rained on quite a bit. Has not failed thus far. I have a GS1100G with a fairing. I drilled a spot for it in my fairing and ran the wires off my coils so I know how much voltage they are getting at any given time. Above 2000 rpm, the voltage is 13.8. I'm running with a Cycle Electric regulator. Got rid of the OEM rectifier.

I'm really skittish about the voltage so
OK ! As inexpensive as the ebay units are it's worth a try.
Thankyou all
Now what's next, oh yea, oil temp gauge, radar detector, altimeter, weiner repellant....
