    Switched Source in Headlight Bucket

I have installed a set of mini gauges and am looking for a source of switched power in the headlight bucket. I don't really want to have to cut up the stock connectors multi-pin connectors in case I want to return to the old gauges. I was wondering if any single wires at the front of the harness were switched that I could tap into. Thanks.

    Hi,

For those bikes without front running lights, there is usually a brown wire (with an open bullet connector) in the headlight bucket for such a purpose.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

Thanks Cliff, I'll look for it once I get back into the garage.

And, even if you do have front running lights, it is simple enough to make a "Y" adapter to add a line.
