    Coil relay mod surprise

Yesterday I did the coil relay mod on my 1100G after checking the voltage drop to the coils. The surprise came after I measured the drop after the installation and found a volt drop across the relay itself. I didn't expect any drop at all and definitely not a full volt. Readings were taken at the relay terminals. It was a NIB relay with a 40 amp rating and I used 12 gauge wire to and from. Your thoughts?
FWIW, the improvement in performance was worth the time and money. I had a 3 volt drop prior to the install.

Common sense has become so uncommon that I consider it a super power.
