        One important note: some epoxy putties or pastes, like JB Weld, contain iron or other metal particles and are more or less conductive. I hope it's obvious that this isn't the best thing for spark plug wires.

        These are usually called "metal reinforced" on the package, and are usually dark gray.

        You want a clear or light colored epoxy. Sometimes they mention "non-conductive" on the package,

        Something more flexible, like RTV, Sugru, etc. might be better, too.
