Left handle bar switch interchangeability?
I need a new left handlebar switch assembly for my 78 GS 1000C. Does anyone know which other models interchange? A plug that fits seems to be the main thing-the switches all function the same.

I suggest you check the parts fishe and compare hand control part numbers between different model bikes. I do know that the bikes with the second generation TSCU function different from yours too so those switches won't fit.Ed
To measure is to know.

If you want plug and play the only switch that fits is that from the 78 and 79 1000 (all models) and the 79 850. Others will fit but will need a bit of fiddling with the wiring.79 GS1000S
