    Weak spark

I have 1978 GS 1000. End of last year had the top end done. Pistons valves, also changed to pods and a Vance and Hines pipe. Just getting around to riding it now. Before starting, carbs were cleaned and rejetted 110 mains and 135 pilots. Float levels double checked all setting were double checked. Fired up great but within minutes something seemed wrong. It seemed to be sluggish when revving in nutreul. Riding it showed poor exceleration. Checked the spark to the plugs. 3&4 cyl. had a week spark. Replaced points condensor plugs and plug wires and boots. Still have the same problem. I am using new dyna coils. Took them off checked all connections put them back same problem. Switched coils same problem. Used a lazer temp gauge on the pipes and noticed after 2-3 min. at idle the cyl 1@2 were up to 100 to 105 degrees. cyl. 3&4 were 60 to 65 degrees. Also noticed the pipes on cyl 1&2 changed colour. Sort of copper colour. Can anyone tell me what is going on with this? Any suggestions as to what to check next. Compression, valve clearance etc. Or change to a dyna ignition?
    Thanks

How many volts do you have at the coils?

How many of the 10 common things did you perform?

You did n't check the valve clearances?

Copper color is from overheating, usually from being lean mixture

Your carbs should be 122.5 mains (Mikuni) and 20 pilot.

How did you arrive at your current jetting?
