Question on wiring from Stator Pages

Getting ready to wire in a new 6 wire Honda regulator on my GS750 tonight. Consulting the stator pages I just have one question.

It says to run the black wire from the Honda regulator to a sensing switch and suggests splicing with the orange wire on the rear brake sensor. My question is does is matter if you splice into that orange wire over by the sensor itself, or can I just do it right near where it enters the fusebox? I'm assuming at the fusebox is fine but I'm not sure it would matter.

Thanks Hopefully get this bad boy running again tonight.

You could, but probably easier at the switch. Or you can hook it directly to positive on battery, I did two of our bikes that way and no problems. terrylee

I have mine running straight to the fuse block now so it always sees 12v

Its alive! I spliced it to the orange wire, at the end near to the sensor.

Now just need to replace the headlight, tail light, and try to fix the tach that all blew when the R/R went on me. Oh, and replace the donor battery with a proper one.
