Just replaced the starter clutch and now the bike starts ok, but the starter continues to run - what would cause this???

I put on a used starter clutch. I was shocked the dealer had new rollers, pins, and springs in stock!! A customer ordered them and never picked them up.
Just installed them and the starter clutch is working properly !!!!!!Comment

I had the solenoid or ? stick at one time while riding. IT destroyed the starter !!!Comment
