Glad you figured it out.
I downloaded the Honda service manual for the bike that R/R came from and Honda didn't hook up that center spade either. I wonder what it's for? My guess is it's a redundant power feed or ground. I don't think it's a sense wire.Ed

As I have mentioned in other R/R threads, I have tried connecting that center terminal to + and - terminals on the battery, with no difference in the output.

I misstyped before. It's charging at a steady 13.97 volts. Even better.
For those interested in knowing, this R/R lined up and bolted perfectly to the tapped holes in the bottom of the battery box. Looks like it was meant to be there.
Everything is back together and ready for the triple nickle!
