lock pos. and rear lght

1980 gs 750 . when forks are turned to the left and ign. switch is turned to the right in a lock pos. the rear light stays on . I know somebodys seen this before . what is it ?

check the owners manual on basscliffs sit, but I believe its supposed to do that for when you are parked on the roadside (for safety)

Hi,

Yes, this is by design. It's called the "Park" position and leaves the tail light on. Turn your ignition key to the left to turn everything off and remove the key. You'll find an owner's manual (I think it's an '82, but that's close enough) on my little website.
