Doing the stator test
I tested my stator but I want to make sure I am reading my meter right. I put it on AC-Voltage range of 100 vac. Reved the engine to 5k RPMs. The meter went almost up to the 1 on the AC scale. Is that equal to 1, 10 or 100 volts?Tags: None

Is this an analog meter (with a needle) or a digital meter (with numbers)?
If it is an analog meter, the 1 is multiplied by the scale, x100, giving you a reading of 100 volts.
If that's what you got, you have a GOOD stator.
