I hope you have visited Basscliff's and read the stuff to test a no start problem- it's much cheaper than replacing everything related to the ignition system. What year?

Hey mate, you've gotta go through the tests in the manual. The Clymer's ok for that, the Haynes I think is lacking a little.

      In a nutshell:

      - Test the signal generator at the coils and the plug
      - Test the primaries on the coils
      - Test the secondaries on the coils
      - Check the plug caps to make sure they're good
      - Test the ignitor
      - Check your voltages at the coils and at other spots

If the ignitor you just bought is second hand, good chance it's knackered too.

The Dynatek DS3-3C will actually fit our bikes if you're keen (although it's not officially supported just yet), you just need to run one separate wire for the oil pressure switch...

          Forgot to say...

To test the plugs and coils, disconnect the ignitor and signal generator, then using the pins on the harness side of the ignitor plug, flick the coil negative wires to ground to see if that fires a spark.

Should be a white wire and a black with yellow tracer from memory but best to confirm from the wiring diagram.

This will at least help you narrow it down and I found it a very helpful test...
