81 gs 750 timing issuse
im haveing trouble with my timing, the breaker plate on the bike wasnt able to slide over far enough to line up timing marks, so i slotted the holes a bit and now it lines up perfect, but my question is, not sure of the part name but at the end of the cranckshaft there is a tab that rotates around, now is that supposed to line up perfectly with the 2 senors at each end, sorry about description.any help would be great thanksTags: None

Are you checking it with a timing light ? Has the advance mech ever been changed ? Otherwise what you are doing is not accurate...
