    Circuit design question

Can someone explain what I'd use to create a circuit that would enable me to add an LED light strip that's activated by my brake light such that it would flash (anywhere from 1- X number of times) before either remaining on or off?
I looked at several sites for hobbyists but didn't find what I am looking for.
A link to a website or product site would be great and appreciated.

Common sense has become so uncommon that I consider it a super power.

While I appreciate the creativity and enthusiasm, you sure you want to take on a project that already has multiple commercial applications?

There are MANY products already available that will flash your brake lights. Some of the more-affordable ones are about $20-25, others can cost well over $125. I have seen examples from both ends of the spectrum and happen to own several of them (most happen to be from the pricier end of the spectrum ).

Thanks Steve. I was hoping for something as easy as an inexpensive, readily available module, of sorts, that I could wire in. I took a look at whats available on ebay, after reading your response, and saw a couple that should work for less than $20. What I'm looking at doing is installing a couple of LED strips in my taillight housing that will flash when I hit the brakes. Anything to be seen.
      Thanks

OK, here are a few choices for you:

        Custom Dynamics $13

        Kapscomoto $16

        Comagination $25-30

        Kahtech $26-32

        Signal Dynamics $36

        Hyperlites $56-99

        Kisan $80

        Kriss $95

        Admore Lighting $130

I have the Kisan model that is in the link above on my 850, "Junior". Besides the stock light, it is also connected to a quad LED license frame.
I have another Kisan model that is specific to my GoldWing. On my wife's bike, we have a pair of the smaller Hyperlites and the Admore light.
You really can't help but notice that we have hit the brakes.
