    Key question...

Did not know where else to ask this but since the key is related to the electrical I thought I would ask here.

Is anyone else having a difficult time finding a place the can copy the original key? It is the only one I have and I would like to get another one made. I have tried four different places and nobody can copy it. I have not tried the Suzuki dealer, avoiding at all costs, but if I have to then that is where I will go.

    Thanks...

If you have an original key, with the number still visible, check out this eBay seller. He has keys for many number sets, and at a very good price.

Of the 4 places you have tried, were any locksmiths ? Your local chain or hardware store is unlikely to carry something he's only going to sell once in a blue moon.Even up here in the Great White North, blanks are available. I bought a blank from my local Suzuki dealer. 16 bucks ! At the locksmith $2.50.

I bought a GS key blank from somewhere online, cheap, and had Ace hardware cut it.

I went to my local Ace Hardware store. They did not have them in stock, so they ordered blanks for all 3 of my bikes, and cut them also. Great value, great service, great price.

Had copies made at my local locksmith. $1.80 each.

Thanks all, I have two Ace Hardware stores very close to my house so I will try them. If not I will then try the locksmith.
