Thanks for all the replies guys. I have started on trying to fix the harness myself. I've managed to get most of the lights working and the starter button functioning.However i've wired up the dyna III ignition the way it seemed to be wired and made sure there was a 12 volt feed to the one coil.I'm wondering if there is some way to check if the dyna is doing its job and grounding?
Sorry for the crude drawing but this is how it is wired on the bike
(the two orange and whites are cut and spliced into the red wire off of the dyna ignition, white and black wires are on top terminals of the coils)
If the dyna unit is fired what is my best bet for a new ignition system?when i bought the bike i was told it may have had some work done to it (cams?& rebuild).
