    Heated gear?

Anyone used one of these or have friend's that do?
What do you think and/or what do they say?
Too many AMPS for the GS electrical system?

We design, make, and sell protective gear and equipment for people who ride motorcycles and scooters. We care about motorcycling, quality, value, and customer service.

    TIA,

Not sure if it works or not, but 30 Watts is not much of a power draw, depending on your bike (you list a bunch), the charging system condition, and the accessories you already have. That is about the power draw of heated grips, btw.

No accessories what so ever on any of my bikes.
You guys have successfully scared me to death about these charging systems that I have yet to have a failure with in over 30 years of ownership.
Thanks! I'll give it a try.

I run Oxford heated grips, a radio, GPS and my heated vest when it's cold out. If I worry about the charging system not cranking out enough, I turn off the radio. I have a voltmeter to monitor output as well. You don't want to spend all day in the 2000 rpm or lower range though.

I've used both a Tourmaster & a Gerbings vest on my GS's.... just don't spend too much time at idle.
A proper controller helps with the power draw (poor man's version is a $15 LED light flash cntroller. Saw that on adv rider or somewhere).

These little beauties are the answer. Settings are low, med, high and max. I have never needed more than the medium setting. Take the battery out of the gloves and charge them and it's good for 6.5 hrs at max and you can turn them off anytime to save charge. They are expensive though.
