    Dyna S on 82 1100GLZ?

So I have now done a little research which maybe should have been done before buying the unit. I have a new dyna s 3-2. After looking at the directions and wondering "no CDI?" I found the paper aboout the mech advance unit, DAMN! I was having issues with timing so I wanted to go with this, seems alot of you guys love this thing. Can someone please give me a run down of what I need and how it goes together? Please include what the timing marks on the plate are supposed to line up with because I do not see anything for them to line up with. Lil frustrated here. Thanks

Well, we don't have a CDI anyway, we have an igniter. The Dyna S replaces both the igniter and the signal generator, much neater. You need to obtain a mechanical advance unit, however. Advertise here in the Parts Wanted section or look on fleaBay. Once you have that, it is pretty simple. Just bolt everything on, wire it into your system (12V, coils) and you are gtg.

IIRC, you want part number 33120-49211 (replaces 33120-49210). One of the on-line store has a search feature that will show all the models take this unit, but I could not remember which company. BTW, it is the same one my GS uses, so I suspect there are lots of models (850, 1000, 1100) that use the same unit.
