Yea, the easiest way to get that ignitor off is by taking off the airbox as there's very little room to get a screwdriver in there correctly and those are JIS screws so be careful the first time.

Read Steve's recent thread on his starting fun. Very informative.

          I got it to spark!!!

          I got it sparking!!!!....

The air box wasnt grounded....that is why the starter solenoid and igniter would'nt work.....they are both grounded to the airbox!!...

so I'm just glad I can focus on something else!!...

I didnt get it to start because I ran out of battery juice (from hitting the start button so much) and time..

but it did try to start...so thats great!

I did notice header pipes 2 & 3 didnt get hot....and pipes 1 & 4 did...so I gueess this will be my next adventure...dirty carbs, or a bad coil maybe?...

          Thanks for the help!

Well, pull the plugs on 2&3 and see if they're sparking -of course, you may have a disconnected wire between the ignitor and the coil? Because we all know that ground wire didn't go missing on its own

But, you should be cleaning the carbs anyway. and adjusting your valves. and etc,etc Because, you said you've been reading, so you've done the 10 Common Things, right?
