1981 GS 550 Wiring Diagram help !!!!

I recently bought a 81 gs550 non-running. I know there is electrical issues on the bike. I can not find a wiring diagram anywhere on the internet. I have searched for two hours now, and have turned up a few for some bigger bikes. I was wondering does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 81 gs550 or a diagram that would work.

Hello and welcome. First post I see. One of our members, BassCliff, keeps a site with a lot of archived information. His site is here:

At the top you'll find some factory service manuals available as PDF downloads. There's one which covers GS550s to 82. The first half to two-thirds or so of the manual covers the original GS550, then there are appendices which cover subsequent models. There will be one for the 550EX, TX, or LX model (yours should be one of those). There are wiring diagrams in the appendices. The Clymer manual for the GS550s has some pretty nice wiring diagrams too which are a bit easier to read, though I've found a few inaccuracies in them.
