    Need Help Finding R/R

After reading the stator papers and performing the diagnostic procedure on the electrical system of my bike I believe my R/R is bad. I have been searching for the best replacements to buy and have seen people purchasing used Honda R/Rs. I can't seem to find a list of R/Rs that would be compatible with my Bike. Is there a list somewhere on the site? If not, I could use some help in finding one that will work.

The FET type are as good as it gets unless you step up to a series type, which cost big bucks. This is not the cheapest I've seen these, but if you are in a hurry...http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Forema...ht_1730wt_1185

I don't see the R/R that tom203 posted on the list of acceptable R/Rs provided by koolaid kid. It is on the list, I just don't see it in blue text, which is supposed to mean it is compatible.

Can anyone confirm that the R/R tom203 posted will work for the '82 GS550LZ?

I'm an electronics newb and will most likely make a mistake here if I'm not careful.

Yes, it work. That unit uses what's know a "sense" wire. Make sure you hook it up accordingly. The info how to do so is in the archives or on Basscliff's site.

Thanks guys, tom203, you may now rest easy as I have taken the R/R off the market.

                    Another quick question:
When following the diagnostic procedure in the link below, in part B test 1, my stator read around 1.7 ohms on all stator leads. Since the acceptable range is .5-2 ohms does this mean my stator is on it's way out?

Doublecheck your multimeter battery or use another- all the stators I got test just under 1 ohm.
