    Tach with fuel gauge

I was wondering which bikes had the tachs with the fuel gauge attached.
And hopefully a few questions answered.

    1. Are these tachs interchangeable with the stock gauge from a 78 GS750?
I'd like to be able to buy one and bolt it in without modifying the housing.

    2. If I managed to acquire one, would I be able to wire it to the 98 GSX750 sender that I have?

    3. Is there a relay or something else required?

Thanks for any and all replies.

There's no sending unit in your tank for it (or any of the 77-79 750 standards) so I'm not sure how you'd get around that.

It's for a custom tank I'm working on, that will have a sender in it.
I already have the sender from a GSX750.
And I have my damaged tank I'll be cutting into as soon as I get my replacement tank.

I have a thread started on the tank project here.

In an effort to answer my own questions, I've found the following models that use these gauges.
        1978 GS1000/GS1000E

That's all I have so far, but it would be enough, if I knew the GS1000 tach would bolt into the GS750 housing.
