I tried to reglue the tangs and one broke again. I posted a "want ad", but thought this might catch someone not looking there. It is a 1980 GS1000G. I'm rebuilding it and am closing in on the completion. Hope to post some of the issues and final results. This forum has saved my bacon numerous times. Thanks in advance to all you knowledgeable ones.

Left Switch Explosion
Yeah, I thought that might get your attention. No flames, just parts flying. I really made a DA on this one. Got in a hurry, mistake 1. Removed the switch to clean, had difficulty removing the guts and broke the lever in the process, mistake 2. I should have read the advice here as usual and avoided it. Anyway, I then found the last screw behind the wire harness, the the explosion of parts, mistake 3. A trifecta of errors. I managed to find all parts and took an hour to figure it out after reviewing the great help here how to assemble all of those contacts and springs.

Flywheel
This bike is a GS1000G, 1980. I think the '80 and '81 have similar switches as well as the 850's. I have the entire switch and it is in working condition, it is just the lever you push up/down and side-to-side I need because of my error removing it. Hope this helps.
