UncleMike here posting from Joe's account. So far, so good. I'm guessing it was a loose connection with the Bandit coils I rigged up. Worst comes to worse, I have some spares with me ... I just wasn't smart enough to bring them (or my tools) with me on the short trip out to Joe's place.

Regardless, this is an incredible crew out here in Chicagoland. The new tire has been mounted and we are back on the road. Further updates to follow.

So youre at Joes now?? Good to hear all are safe. Sides of freeways are some dangerous places to be stranded.

Thank goodness. I'll wager there were cigars (are they cheroots?) consumed as well. Just a thought. Good job.

Boy...it was sure nice to finally meet Uncle Mike, but I didn't expect it to be like this...
Traffic was bad...took forever to get to him...
We had to pull over in a very narrow spot between the highway traffic and the metra trains...
GBW showed up with a truck and ramp, but we already had the bike started...so off to Joe's to change the tire...
Stopped for a good meal...did the tire...had some beers...

Really...not a bad night at all...

Yep, the cigars they were a-smoking, hehe! Great to meet Uncle Mike after all these years - nice guy! Tire put up a little fight coming off, but that was the extent of the troubles once we all arrived at Joe's.

Just got home myself (I'm about 1/2 hour/40 minutes from Joe and Cathy's) and am going to bed. Mike's staying over at Krusty's. All is well!

                          'nite!

Bravo fellas. Truly this place is full of class acts (even though we sometimes act a little classless ) and you gents are definitely GS superstars.
Thanks for rescuing one of us yet again

And Mike, I dunno where/when your travels are taking you, but if you pass through our way, be sure to lemme know. We've a spare bed if ya need, a garage full of tools, and if none of that is needed, it'd be nice to meet ya and buy ya a meal
Same goes for any of you of course...
