    no stator ...no dont die

i think it died...did basscliffs test..but had anyone done it with one of those cheap harbor freight meters?

unless my a/c volatge is that low on the 200 setting a/c it says around 6.5 ish on a-c and on a-b its 11.2 area at 4k rpm...which regardless isnt right for 2 to be alsmot identical an one almost double

an stator was from my spare motor...dont know how old it is

(r/r is wired directed an stuff, new batt..etc etc)

and also any recomendation for where i get my new one?

    Hi,

Z1 sells the Rick's stator at a good price. If you are really on a budget, an eBay seller named Caltric sells decent stators for about $90.

Are you sure you've done complete maintenance and testing on your charging system?

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

pretty sure i have..cleaned all connections...wired r/r direct instead of through harness(same with stator) added extra frame ground.

If you're running the stock R/R still I would upgrade to a Shindingen unit, they're cheap and easy to hook up. You won't run the risk of the Suzuki R/R going bad and frying your new stator either.

What year is your bike, and what year is the "spare motor".

or... was it working with the spare stator at one time then failed? If so, nevermind about what year.

This is the one I have on my bike. Three inputs from the stator, then one grounding on the battery, the sense wire tapped into a switched 12v, and the output to the harness.

$25 buy it now, $5 expedited shipping.

just bought and fitted electrosport alt stator and r/r and fitted it,came directly from their website no hassle to fit, just had to find longer studs for rectifier.battery dead now though, its one of those neverending cycles on these old bikes, fix one thing and it highlights the next problem.onwards and upwards

Did stator from that "other" motor ever work in this bike?
