I wonder if anyone had tried high performance plugs and their opinion.

High performance spark plugs
I just put a set of Champion 8809 (from Walmart @ $3.24) and I like them very much. Champion claims that the design provides more resistant to fouling. Anyway, I got into a research and found that Autolite offers the XS4163DP and XS4162DP (XS stands for Extreme Sport) spark plugs and the price in Amazon is about $8.00 each.

They are NGK B8ES plugs.
They cost about $2 each.
They are highly resistant to fouling, especially if the rest of the bike is adjusted PROPERLY.

Actually there are better performing plugs. I personally use dual electrode plugs when ever I can find them for the application.
Mine stock are DR8ES-L but DR8EK is the same plug with the same features and dual electrodes.
I've also used this type of plug in a circle track car. BKR9EKB in a 1.5L civic made a huge difference over single electrode. It was only with on and off throttle response that I could feel crisp response where as with the single electrode plug would hesitate and foul until the rpm's were high enough.Stephen.

Champion makes the very WORST spark plugs on the Planet!
Use Quaker State oil too while you are at it to really ruin an engine.
NGK Iridium plugs in the highest compression ratio engines and the stock NGK's in the stock engines for me.

The NGK Iridium plugs in my car were going strong at 40,000 miles. They cost more, but you get your money back.Ed
